Students:  The March 15th deadline for the Alex Fleming Scholarship is approaching.  Please check the scholarship page for details.

The Alex Fleming Scholarship shall be limited to a 9th – 12th grade student enrolled in a music program.

The $500.00 Scholarship is to provide instrumental, keyboard or vocal lessons, and shall be distributed to the recipient’s approved teacher on a monthly basis until the sum of $500.00 is depleted.

We are in need of pictures for the website and band video at the end of the year!!!

If you do not have a digital copy, please place them in an envelope (with your name on it so it can be returned to you) and put it in the designated folders in the band hall.

Payment Dates: 

February 5, 2010 - $25 Down Payment
March 5, 2010 - $75 Payment
April 2, 2010 - $75 Payment

Payments will cover performance fees, adjudication and clinic, Six Flags one day pass, Awards ceremony and dinner, hotel for one night (quad occupancy).
Students will need to be eligible per UIL rules.

What:  Band Banquet

(While the banquet is our way to honor our Seniors and a chance to bid them "farewell", it is a function for ALL band members!  Parents, family, and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend).

When:  Friday, May 28th

(This is a "bad weather" day for the students, so hopefully they won't have school!  Students will definitely be off on the following Monday (31st) for Memorial Day.  This is also State Solo/Ensemble weekend! This was the ONLY date TJC could accomodate our group!)

Where:  Tyler Junior College - Apache Room (located in the Rogers Student Center

Other:  Watch for details to be sent via group e-mail and posted on the website regarding time of event, cost, purchasing, tickets, etc.

Seniors:  Start NOW gathering pictures (for your poster & the DVD).  Deadlines will be here before you know it!

Note:   Due to Fire Code restrictions, we are limited to the number of persons allowed in the Apache Room.  Therefore, only 320 tickets can be sold/given...so it will be FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED!!!
