Congratulations to Elliott Levin for making the All State Band.  Elliott placed first chair in 5A percussion.  The Texas All State Band is the highest individual honor a high school band student can receive.

He will travel to San Antonio February 10-13, where he will participate in the Texas Music Educator's Association All State Band Clinic & Concert.

Great job Elliott!

9th Grade All-Region Clinic & Concert @ Hallsville High School - January 16, 2010

There will be an all day rehearsal schedule and performance on Saturday.  All students who made the band are expected to attend.  Concert dress will be Sunday Dress.  Itinerary is as follows:

Saturday, January 16

7:00am - Band Hall Opens

7:15am - Depart

8:15am - Arrive Hallsville

9:00am - Rehearsals Begin

4:00pm - Rehearsals End

5:00pm - Concert Begins

6:00pm - Depart Hallsville

7:00pm - Arrive REL

Items needed:  Instrument, region folder, pencil, mutes and extra reeds, appropriate clothing, Sunday dress, money for lunch

***If students are involved with the Southern Belles Dance, you are welcome to pick them up from Hallsville to get them to their festivities.  The concert should be finished by 5:30pm.

Congratulations to the following REL Band students who received High School All-Region and 9th Grade All-Region honors.  These students worked very hard for this great accomplishment!  Congratulations!
